Wessex Demolition's perception is that health & safety is of paramount importance, that is why we
encourage a proactive approach towards not only the safety of our own workforce but also everyone who
may be affected by the demolition. The management team of Wessex strive to implement a culture of care
throughout the company and understand that leading by example is the most effective way of getting our
workforce to follow suit. All of our employees are constantly informed and trained, giving them great
knowledge in all aspects of the work they encounter.
All of our sites are monitored to ensure the high standards we set ourselves are maintained. Supervisors
are fully qualified in first aid and are trained to SMSTS and CCDO site supervisor standards or are in
training to reach this level. All operatives hold CCDO/CSCS or CPCS cards as a minimum requirement and
hold the relevant certificates to operate any items of plant necessary on sites.
We encourage positive development at all levels of our business, regularly investing in our workforce
and promoting from within.
Wessex Demolition is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our business operations
through good management and by constantly monitoring and improving our environmental
performance.
All employees of Wessex Demolition understand the responsibility we have to look after our
environment. On site we endeavour to recycle as much waste as possible, with a minimum target to
recycle 95% of
the waste we produce. For each project our supervisor on site will work with our office team to
record
all the waste taken from site, which is then used to produce a waste management plan, showing what
waste was
produced and where it all went.
